Opening of the volunteer survey administrators training session, Monday 18 June

18/06/2012

As one of the first milestones in TI Fiji's youth integrity survey, training for 20+ volunteer survey administrators commenced on Monday 18 June 2012.

The training session was opened by TI Fiji Chair, Mr Apsilome Tudreu. In welcoming the volunteers, Mr Tudreu reminded the survey administrators on the importance of their roles for the successful implementation of the survey.

Mr Tudreu advised that TI Fiji hopes that the findings of the survey will highlight people's behaviors and reactions towards corruption. The findings will also provide a resource not only for TI Fiji, but for researchers, civil society organisations, non-governmental organisations and the government on how to best develop appropriate programmes and strategies to address the issue of corruption.

Key supporters of TI Fiji were also in attendance, representing AusAID, Australian Volunteers International, the Ministry of Youth and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme).
